Comments: If I turned up to your class and shot you with a gun, I'm sure you'd all cry. Rules are there for a good reason and you aren't too clever if you can't abide by the most simple of these. It doesn't sound like you understand or can control your own art. There are many Jujitsu and Judo clubs, some good, some bad. We have a good standard of contest Judo and you would learn a great deal. We've had and have many Jujitsu and BJJ practitioners training with us as they understand that until you train to contest standard you're falling a long way short of your goals.

Comments: Thanks for the invite. However, judo spoils jujitsu technique. Judo relies on strength to do the throw. That is why you keep going on about fitness. If a judo guy tries to throw me I bend my knees and the throw will fail. It is that easy. In jujitsu I will use a spear hand strike or palm strike to disable or disorient you before throwing. Thus judoka can effectively defend jujitsu throws. I went to a judo club once and they cried just because I did a wrist lock throw. Guy hurt his wrist because not conditioned for real fight. In summary you want to learn tho fight do Jujitsu. Judo is fun but doesn't work.

Comments: It's sad to see such ignorance. I suggest you look at the history of Judo and see why it replaced Jujitsu as the Japanese National sport within a year of its development. Without competition or battle, there is no way to train effectively. Hiding behing 'my art is too deadly' is an easy way to avoid ever being tested. Jujitsu is a fabulous art and should be studied if a Martial Art is what you're looking for, but to understand how to make it effective and develop the strength and fitness to go with it you need controlled competition. MMA is presently the best stage for Martial Arts and fighting in general, if you want to take away the rules where does it end? you might as well have a gunfight. I invite you again to come and train with us, we're a friendly bunch and it would help you understand a lot more about your art.

Comments: MMA has too many rules. In MMA true jujitsu isn't allowed as it is designed to kill. That is why top jujitsu people don't enter. Our style is too dealy to spar. Sadly Kano ruined japanese martial arts. Thank god for jujitsu. PS I'm glad you enjoy sport, I respect that, just don't pretend it has martial applications.

Comments: You're more than welcome to visit us to prove your theories. I'm a big MMA fan and I've yet to see a successful wrist lock - ever (though I accept they work on a weaker opponent, passive subject or drunk). It's funny when people think that just because we study Judo, we only use Judo. In a real situation we're more than capable of using punches, eye gouges, kicks, elbows, biting, finger snapping etc., and we're also pretty tough as we train harder than many 'pretend' arts. Please come and visit and see first hand how we train, and why what we do is so successful - for sport purposes (which is our no. 1 aim) and as a solid foundation for self defense or MMA.

Comments: Lol Judoka get stuck in to each other by cuddling on the floor. Jujitsu is REAL! If a judo guys grabs me then I wrist lock him, it's easy. Judo looks fun but it's a game. If a judo guy trys to throw one of my jujitsu students they can easily defend by bending their knees and counter with a lock or atemi. Kano took the dangerous stuff out of judo and made it a sport.

Comments: Thanks Colin, but we've been to many traditional Ju Jitsu clubs and they're generally far too soft. When Ju Jitsu was tested on the battlefield it was just that, tested. You need to test your art to make it work, hence Judo was created. BJJ on the other hand is based on Kano Judo, which is why it is so effective, they learn a technique and practice in contest, the only place you'll ever learn to make it work. Please come and visit us, you'll see why we prefer to learn and get stuck in, rather than learn and hope it may work.

Comments: You guys should learn jujitsu. Jujitsu is a real martial art tested on the battlefield by the Samurai. Judo looks like a fun sport and I respect it, but it is a game and not a true way of the warrior.

Comments: It's nice to have such distinguished guests on the site, welcome Neil & my old friend Yashi. I'd love to help, but the one handed technique 'ich tomoe-nage' is a very closely guarded secret - handed down through many generations of squirrel keepers in the West Midlands area. Sensei Shandy Andy has a simple 'two-handed' version he'd be happy to demonstrate if you'd like to drop by.

Comments: Hi guys World Champion, double Olympic Silver medallist and 5 times European Champion Neil Adams here, people have been telling me stories about a legendary one handed tomoe-nage performed by one of your instructers at the recent Welsh Open. This is something I attempted to master myself in my early years, however, despite my world championship title, Olympic finals and consecutive european titles the truth was my Judo just wasn't good enough to perform this throw. Who is this Grandmaster Sensei who defies Judo logic?

Comments: Les! Just had a look at that "Kung-Fu" website. What a knobber. You could invite him up for a session and then if you have any injuries he could do some of that dik suk healing that he professes to be an expert in. (Would be funny if he really was any good and you all got battered!)
